Before beginning, ensure your vehicle is parked on a level surface and the parking brake is engaged. Loosen the lug nuts on all four wheels slightly before jacking up the vehicle.

Use a jack and jack stands to safely lift the vehicle. Remove the wheels, following the rotation pattern, and remount them in their new positions. Tighten the lug nuts in a star pattern to ensure even pressure. Lower the vehicle and torque the lug nuts to the manufacturer’s specifications using a torque wrench.

Maintaining Correct Tire Pressure

A penny can be used as a simple tool to check tread depth. Insert a penny into the tread groove with Lincoln’s head upside down. If you can see the top of Lincoln’s head, your tread depth is less than 2/32 of an inch, indicating it’s time to replace the tires.

Look for any cuts, bulges, embedded objects, or unusual wear patterns. These could indicate damage that compromises tire integrity and requires immediate attention. Any signs of damage should be assessed by a qualified tire professional.
